Jörn Wolters was born in Bremen, Germany, and lives in Amsterdam, Netherlands. With a PhD in biochemistry, he worked as taxonomy manager at the scientific publisher Elsevier between 2001–2017. Since 2006, he has been associated with the Stichting NAMENproject Nederland.
