Sarah Chaney is Events and Exhibitions Manager at the Royal College of Nursing. She is also a Wellcome Trust Research Fellow on the ‘Living With Feeling’ project in the Centre for the History of the Emotions, at Queen Mary, University of London, exploring compassion and nursing. Her book Psyche on the Skin: A History of Self-Harm was published in 2017
