Daniel C S Wilson is a historian of science and technology and a senior researcher at The Alan Turing Institute, where he works in the computational humanities on the history and politics of data and machines. He makes use of both paper and digital archives, such as large collections of 19th-century maps and texts; he spends his time collaborating daily with software engineers, librarians and curators, including at the Science Museum
