Imogen Holmes-Roe has been Curator (Historic Fine Art) at the Whitworth since March 2019. Her first major exhibition at the Whitworth, Standardisation and Deviation: the Whitworth Story, opened on 14 December 2019 and will be on display until January 2022. Her work is currently focused on developing and supporting constituent projects and includes the award-winning STILL PARENTS programme which aims to support parents who have experienced the loss of a baby in pregnancy or just after birth. Before moving to the Whitworth, Imogen was Curator of Art & Photography at the National Coal Mining Museum for England in Wakefield, West Yorkshire
