Gemma Almond

Tutor in Social and Cultural History at Swansea University

Dr Gemma Almond completed her Collaborative Doctoral Partnership at the Science Museum and Swansea University. Her thesis forms part of her broader interest in medical and disability history and was focused on the medicalisation and the normalisation of vision testing and vision aid wear in the nineteenth century. She is currently a full-time tutor in Social and Cultural History at Swansea University
