Dr Louise Devoy is Senior Curator of the Royal Observatory, Greenwich. Louise’s research interests encompass all aspects of the site’s history (instruments, collections, buildings and people stories) and she has contributed to exhibitions such as Observatory Life (2016 to present) and The Moon (2019). Louise is currently developing historical content for a range of new galleries in celebration of the Observatory’s 350th anniversary in 2025. She is also Principal Investigator for the UKRI-AHRC-funded Research Network project, Observatory Sites and Networks since 1780 and is actively involved with both the Scientific Instrument Society and the Scientific Instrument Commission
