Karen Baker
Curator of Library and Railway Research, National Railway Museum
Karen is a curator and librarian and works at the National Railway Museum (NRM) in York in the UK. Improving access to information and the collections has been a primary driver in her long career at the Museum, from developing and managing the Museum’s library and archive service, Search Engine, to generating content for exhibitions and visitor engagement opportunities. In 2017 she co-led an innovative murder mystery exhibition – The Missing Passenger – and most recently led curatorial content for the redeveloped permanent gallery, Station Hall, which opened to the public in September 2025
