Milly Mulcahey-Knight is a PhD researcher in the Centre for Indigenous and Settler Colonial studies at the University of York, funded by the White Rose Consortium. Her research investigates the emotional experience of Indigenous and non-Indigenous heritage workers interpreting shared Indigenous and British colonial history. This article reflects her work as a research assistant at the London Science Museum for an upcoming exhibition on 1700s America
