Sophie Sexon

PhD candidate

Sophie Sexon is a PhD researcher and performer based at the University of Glasgow, currently working on a project which examines the wounds of Christ in Late Medieval manuscript imagery and in modern queer body art. Sophie has recently authored an article regarding a non-binary interpretation of Christ’s wounds due to be published in a volume entitled Trans and Genderqueer Subjects in Medieval Hagiography for the Hagiography Beyond Tradition series (Amsterdam University Press, forthcoming 2021)
