Tim Snelson is Associate Professor in media history in the School of Media, Languages and Communication Studies at the University of East Anglia. His research addresses the relationships between media, cultural and social histories, focusing particularly on popular film and media genres (horror, true crime, psychological thrillers); media and mental health; crime and media; audiences and cinemagoing; gender and popular media; material culture and screen heritage; and youth (sub)cultures
